POSITION: OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST-Kerrville
Working Dept: Early Childhood Intervention (ECI)
Hours: 8 AM-5PM, Monday - Friday; varied and flexible

General Description:
Under the general supervision of the Early Childhood Coordinator, and with considerable latitude for independent judgment, the Therapist provides occupational therapy and special instruction to children birth through 3 with developmental delays and/or medical conditions that might result in developmental delays. Primary responsibilities include screening, performing developmental assessments, occupational therapy and assistive technology evaluations participating in Individual Family Serviced Plan Meetings, linking/monitoring services and advocating for the individual. Works very closely with children and their families. Work schedule may require some flexibility. Requires use of Center vehicle and travel to home visits in the seven-county catchment area.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program is required. Must possess a current Occupational Therapy License from the State of Texas. Experience working with children ages 0-3. Knowledge of child development, assistive technology, developmental delay, medical conditions, and assessment preferred. Bilingual speaking (Spanish) is a plus. If selected for position, must give Center for Life Resources authorization to request copy of driving record from TDPS as well as all required prescreens and background checks. Must be physically able to complete all required staff development training.

OUR CATCHMENT ARE INCLUDES THE COUNTIES OF BROWN, EASTLAND, COLEMAN, COMANCHE, SAN SABA, MILLS, MCCULLOUCH, GILLESPIE, KENDALL, KERR, KIMBELL, AND MASON.
