Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties may vary based on specific program and position, and may include but are not limited to the following:
· Coordinates activities of the Medication clinic for consumers with mental health and/or mental illness, within our seven-county catchment area.
· Assist with appointment scheduling, provide medication education, monitor vital signs, administer medication and injections, prepare refill requests and coordinate laboratory testing.
· Monitors medication/progress of clinic consumers, assists center doctors in scheduling/monitoring evaluations, tracks clinic medications, is a liaison with the contract pharmacy and provides emergency services as required.
· Work involves frequent in-person planning, development and interagency coordination of required nursing services.

· Ability to follow established service implementation processes to meet the needs of individuals served and adhere to funding source requirements.
· Proficient in the use of computers and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
· Possess expert knowledge of purpose, policies and standards of nursing care.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Must be a Licensed Vocational nurse in the State of Texas, with one or more years of experience as a LVN.
· Prefer 6 months experience working in MHMR setting.
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:
· Valid Driver’s License required
· Licensed through the Texas Board of Nursing as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
