POSITION: Rehabilitation Therapist Tech
Working Unit: Respite
Hours: 1 Part time; various hours to include days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
Salary: $11.11 - $14.07 with differential for night and evening hours

General Description:
Under the supervision of the Respite Program Supervisor, position provides responsible guidance and care to individuals in need of respite on a short-term basis. The Respite facility provides a safe, home-like alternative to psychiatric hospitalization for non-aggressive adults. Work involves monitoring individuals, recording progress, and maintaining the Respite environment. Employee will coordinate services and progress reports with Service Coordinators. Position requires close contact with individuals in mental health crisis. Applicant must be able to lift in excess of 45 pounds and perform other physical and mental activities normally associated with caregiving and housekeeping.
Qualifications:
Graduation from a standard high school or GED equivalent, with a minimum of six months working with persons with disabilities preferred. Good communication skills required, both verbal and written. Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and driving record in compliance with CFLR policies. If selected for position, must give Center for Life Resources (CFLR) authorization to send for copy of DPS driving record as well as all required prescreens and background checks. Must be able to complete all required staff development training.
The Center for Life Resources prefer applicants who are already living in or are willing to move to the 7-county catchment area within 90 days of their hire date. Our catchment area includes the counties of Brown, Eastland, Coleman, Comanche, San Saba, Mills and McCulloch.
Any employee desiring to transfer into this position must complete an In-House Employment Application and return it to the Human Resources Office. This position will remain open until filled.
