POSITION: HS TECH I – CHILD & ADOLESCENT SERVICES
Working Title: Family Partner
Hours: Part Time – Varied; Flexible hours
Hourly Rate: $10.47 to $10.68; DOEE&Q

General Description:
Under the supervision of the Children’s Services Director and with some latitude for independent judgment, the Family Partner Worker assesses the need and provides support to help the guardians of children and youth. Will provide peer mentoring, education and support to the caregivers of a child who has a serious emotional disturbance and is receiving services from the Center. Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing are essential. The Family Partner will also assist case managers and supervisors with current client issues.


Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited high school or GED is required. This applicant must be an experienced parent, foster parent or guardian of a child or young adult with a mental health diagnosis. A valid Texas driver’s license and driving record in compliance with CFLR policy is required. This position requires the use of a Center vehicle. If selected for position, must give Center for Life Resources authorization to request copy of driving record from TDPS as well as all required prescreens and background checks. The applicant must be physically able to complete all required staff development training.

THE CENTER FOR LIFE RESOURCES PREFERS APPLICANTS WHO ARE ALREADY LIVING IN OR ARE WILLING O MOVE TO THE 7 COUNTY CATCHMENT AREAS WITHIN 90 DAYS OF THEIR HIRE DATE. OUR CATCHMENT AREA INCLUDES THE COUNTIES OF BROWN, EASTLAND, COLEMAN, COMANCHE, SAN SABA, MILLS, AND MCCULLOUCH.
