POSITION: REHAB THERAPIST TECH I
Working Unit: Mental Health
Hours: Part Time-Varied hours
Salary: $20.00 Face to Face time; $10.00 for meetings and training

General Description:
Responsible for the implementation of community support services in the Mental Health After-Hour Rehab Program. Provide training in those skills in which the primary focus is to further a consumer's medication compliance, independent living, and community integration skills. This training promotes community integration, increases community tenure, and maintains the consumer's quality of life. Work involves providing training to enhance medication compliance, daily living skills, and personal social adjustment skills. Documents and reports consumers' behavior and progress relevant to consumers' authorized Treatment Plan. Provides an atmosphere of growth and development. General Work schedule is flexible, but primarily during hours not between 8am and 5pm. Under direct supervision of the Utilization Management Program Specialist. Staff are considered Part-Time and are paid according to number of Face-to Face Units of Service provided to consumers and for hours of Staff Development Training.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor or Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social services or related field is required. Ability to meet credentialing requirements as QMHP or Rehab Therapist Tech required. Must possess good verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of and ability to access community and state resources. Ability to make independent decisions, in sometimes stressful conditions, based on consumers' need and authorized Treatment Plan. Must possess basic knowledge of nutrition, housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, personal hygiene, and budget planning and the ability to convey this knowledge to consumers with mental illness. Understands and appropriately applies procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to mental health services. Meets the needs of consumers within the scope of authorized treatment plan. A valid Texas driver’s license and driving record in compliance with CFLR policies is essential. If selected for a position, employee must give Center for Life Resources (CFLR) authorization to send for copy of DPS driving record as well as all required prescreens and background checks. Must be physically able to complete all required staff development training.

The Center for Life Resources prefer applicants who are already living in or are willing to move to the 7-county catchment area within 90 days of their hire date. Our catchment area includes the counties of Brown, Eastland, Coleman, Comanche, San Saba, Mills and McCulloch.
