POSITION: SPEECH – LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST--KERRVILLE
Working Dept: Early Childhood Intervention (ECI)
Hours: Full Time--Flexible

General Description:Under the general supervision of the Early Childhood Intervention Coordinator and with considerable latitude for independent judgment, the Speech-Language Pathologist provides speech therapy and special instruction to children with developmental delays and/or medical conditions that might result in developmental delays. The Speech Language Pathologist provides service coordination to the children assigned to his/her caseload. He/she is responsible for coordinating all services with the program and across agency lines. Primary responsibilities include screening, performing developmental assessments, speech evaluations, Assistive Technology evaluations, and participation in Individual Family Service Plan Meetings.

Qualifications:
Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Education Program is required. Must possess a current license from the Texas Board of Speech-Language Pathology. Experience working with young children with developmental delays/medical conditions, and their families preferred. Specialized skills in speech evaluation, assistive technology, evaluation and implementation required. Must be able to deal with all types of persons including individuals, families, and groups of all socio-economic levels. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. A valid Texas Driver’s license and a driving record in compliance with Center for Life Resources policies. If chosen for position, must provide CFLR with authorization to send for copy of driving record. Must be able to complete required staff training.
